Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig Sept. 21 in 1983) is a famous American actress. She is most famously known for her role played Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents. While struggling financially she landed her first role as Rachel's Room's title character the video on-demand show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The television film Murder in Greenwich, in which she portrayed 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination for a Young Artist Award. She's a Gyllenhaal. daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as younger in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first roles were in films of her father in his adolescent years. Along with her brother, she appeared on the screen in Donnie Darko (2000). She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Other roles she has played included Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013 an action thriller), actors in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) as well as her role as the Kindergarten Teacher. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
